Hey Robert, big fan (kinda had a man crush on you through entire series, hope that’s okay) my question is: which episodes are you most proud of? Your favorites etc.

The pilot, “Tattoo”, “Unforgettable”, “In the Flesh”, “Maneuvers”, “Scorpion 1 & 2”, “Emanations”, “Nemesis” and actually quite a few others the titles of which I don’t remember. What were yours?

Unforgettable is episode 22 season 4 and In the Flesh is episode four season five

I think the lack of enthusiasm can be said to do with his character coming off as very stereotypical and him wanting out of the show and asking for his character to be killed off every season. He is fairly open about criticism and is able to laugh about it at cons now.

“I wouldn’t say I had a bitter taste about the show, but it makes me a lot less caring about the show when the writers don’t seem to care about all the cast. When that happens, I check out right away and give as little as possible emotional involvement as I can. So I would have to say, honestly, that for probably the last two or two and a half years, I haven’t quite read a full Voyager script. It’s not necessary, because I already know what’s going to happen. I don’t want to put myself to the aggravation.”

Also they sort of remake this episode in season six episode fourteen titled Memorial and this time it affects Chakotay Tom Paris and Harry Kim

The Tom Paris and B’Elanna Torres relationship works really well for both characters and her issues with her Klingon heritage play a big part. There is a really good episode called Lineage in season seven episode twelve where she doesn’t want her child to have any visible markers like forehead ridges and tries to rewrite her DNA so that her child wont look Klingon and experience the bullying she had as a child as the only Klingon child on a human colony.

The Seven of Nine catsuit just gets different colours and fabric’s but it is still the same figure hugging all in one suit the whole way through the series with the exception in Relativity episode 24 season five where we see her in a Star-fleet uniform. Seven of Nine and Janeway have some of the best scenes with them sparring with each other in the Astrometrics Lab and it strengthens both characters over the series.

I am not sure if you will see this before you get to the next episode “Revulsion” but it has a Harry Kim seven of nine moment so pathetic even you guys will feel bad for him.

Luckily the seasons from this point are more good than bad and you get the the Hirogen who reappear a few more times throughout the show

  3. I see an Entries RSS and a Comments RSS button, but without a Podcast Episodes RSS feed, this is NOT a podcast, it’s just a blog with an audio element.
